1. What is In2mate, and who is it for? In2mate is a gentle, pH-balanced intimate skincare range for women, for everyday intimate cleansing and care and for dryness, sensitivity or irritation. It treats the delicate intimate area with the same care as the rest of the body, using non-perfumed, plant-based ingredients, and it is suitable at any age.
2. What products are in the In2mate range? There are three: the Natural Wash, a gentle cleanser for the external area used in place of soap; the Natural Moisturiser, to relieve dryness and keep intimate skin comfortable; and the Natural Lubricant, a water-based lubricant for extra comfort when you need it. They are also available together as the Complete Natural Care set.
3. What is the difference between the Moisturiser and the Lubricant? The Natural Moisturiser is used regularly, often daily, to relieve ongoing dryness and keep intimate skin comfortable over time. The Natural Lubricant is used in the moment, for immediate comfort and glide, for example during sex. Many women use both, the moisturiser for everyday comfort and the lubricant when they need it.
4. Is In2mate vegan? Yes. In2mate is vegan and cruelty-free, non-perfumed and 99% natural, and made for delicate, sensitive intimate skin.
5. Where is In2mate made? In2mate is made in Britain and dermatologically tested for sensitive skin.
6. Is In2mate non-perfumed and pH-balanced? Yes. Every In2mate product is non-perfumed, silicone-free and pH-optimised to suit the intimate area's naturally slightly acidic balance, which makes it gentler than ordinary soaps and shower gels.
7. Which In2mate products are for external use, and which can be used internally? The In2mate Natural Wash and Natural Moisturiser are for external use, on the vulva and surrounding skin. The Natural Lubricant is comfortable to use internally. Do not insert the wash or moisturiser, and avoid douching, as the vagina cleans itself.
8. Is the In2mate Natural Lubricant safe to use with condoms? Yes. The In2mate Natural Lubricant is water-based, and water-based lubricants are compatible with latex condoms, unlike oil-based ones. If you use a specific type of condom, it is always worth checking its packaging too.
9. Does In2mate contain nuts? The In2mate Natural Moisturiser contains sweet almond oil, so please check the ingredients and avoid it, or speak to your doctor, if you have a nut allergy. As with any product, patch test before first use.
10. Is In2mate hormone-free, and can I use it alongside HRT? Yes. In2mate is hormone-free, so it is suitable at any age and can be used alongside HRT. If you are using a prescribed vaginal treatment such as vaginal oestrogen, it is sensible to check with your GP or pharmacist about using them together, and never stop a prescribed treatment without medical advice.
11. Is In2mate suitable for sensitive skin or allergies? In2mate is designed for delicate, sensitive intimate skin and is non-perfumed, which suits many people who react to fragranced products. As with any product, patch test before first use, check the ingredients if you have known allergies, and stop using it if any irritation occurs. If you have a reaction, speak to your GP or pharmacist.
12. Can I use In2mate during pregnancy or while breastfeeding? Dryness and sensitivity are common during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and In2mate is a gentle, non-perfumed range. As with any product used at this time, and particularly for anything used internally, it is sensible to check with your midwife, GP or pharmacist first.
13. Can In2mate be used with a partner? Yes. The In2mate Natural Lubricant is a water-based, non-perfumed lubricant that can be used during intimacy with a partner. As with any intimate product, patch test first and stop using it if either of you notices any irritation.
14. Can In2mate treat thrush or infections? No. In2mate is intimate skincare for cleansing, moisture and comfort, not a medicine, and it does not treat thrush, bacterial vaginosis or infections. If you think you have an infection, with symptoms such as itching, unusual discharge or an odour, see a pharmacist or GP, who can give you the right treatment.
