We use several different SPF systems, some all mineral, some all chemical and some are a mixture depending on their design aims.

Our Kalme Day Defence SPF25 is a 100% mineral SPF using Zinc Oxide which has been micronised until it is transparent on the skin. This is a fantastic low reactivity product which works very well with sensitive skins. This is our favourite product. But pure mineral creams can still have drawbacks. One of these is that they feel a bit dryer and less smooth than a chemical filter cream.

Our Kalme Day Defence SPF30 is 100% chemical filter which is a type which is good with sensitive skin. However, it is more reactive than the 100% mineral Day Defence SPF25. But it is smoother to apply and feels smoother on the skin. The SPF25 can feel a bit dryer.

Our Kalme Chameleon Concealer SPF20 uses mainly a Titanium Dioxide mineral SPF. But it also uses a little bit of chemical to increase the bandwidth to protect against a wider spectrum of UV light. This is a very complex cream that ticks many many boxes from treatment, to concealment to protection.

HEVL SPF50 is a massive full spectrum suncream that uses a mixture of chemical filters and the new HEVL (High Energy Visible Light) filters to block out what the three bandwidths of sunlight including UVA, UVB and High Energy Visible Light which penetrates deeper into the skin than UVA and UVB.
