Why do you not have a higher SPF50 cream.

This is something we have thought about a lot. We want the Kalme Day Cream to be very low reactivity, pleasant to use and designed to improve the underlying condition of the skin. It is very hard to do this with a SPF50.
If we used our current formula but bumped up the SPF ingredients to a level required to be SPF50 it would be a very thick pasty feel rather than a cream. It would also start to weigh on the skin rather than benefit it beyond blocking the sun. It would therefore be a suncream rather than a treatment cream with an SPF.

We feel that when you reach a level of SPF50 you are really a suncream and not a treatment cream. We have also found that the chemicals/ingredients needed to make an SPF50 feel nice on the skin are often quite reactive or they are too heavy for daily life.

We recommend that customers wear a hat and do not get full sun exposure whatever their SPF.
