1. Is KALME Night Repair Cream suitable for rosacea-prone skin?
Yes. KALME Night Repair Cream is developed specifically for rosacea-prone, red and reactive skin. Its patented Derma Sensitive caper extract has been clinically studied to reduce skin redness and reactivity by up to 70%, and the formula is fragrance-free, paraben-free and dermatologically tested for use on highly sensitive skin.
2. What is the difference between KALME Day Defence Cream and KALME Night Repair Cream?
KALME Day Defence Cream is a daytime moisturiser with a mineral SPF30 to protect skin from UV-triggered flare-ups during the day. KALME Night Repair Cream is a richer, intensely moisturising night cream without SPF, designed to deeply nourish, calm redness and support the skin's natural repair process overnight. Most customers use both together as an AM and PM routine.
3. Can I use KALME Night Repair Cream with KALME Day Defence Cream?
Yes, the two creams are designed to work together. Apply KALME Day Defence Cream SPF30 in the morning after cleansing, and KALME Night Repair Cream in the evening as the last step in your routine. Used together, they provide round-the-clock protection and repair for rosacea-prone skin.
4. How long before I see results from KALME Night Repair Cream?
Many customers notice their skin feeling softer, calmer and less red by morning within the first few nights. Visible redness usually continues to reduce over the following 2-3 weeks, with the most significant long-term improvements seen after 3-4 months of consistent nightly use. KALME is designed as a long-term skincare regimen rather than a quick fix.
5. Will KALME Night Repair Cream feel too rich or greasy on my skin?
KALME Night Repair Cream has a deeply moisturising texture designed to nourish skin overnight, yet it absorbs without feeling heavy or greasy. Most customers describe it as comforting and softening, not sticky. If your skin is very dry, you can layer it over KALME Undercoat or KALME TeQ Serum for extra hydration.
6. Can I use KALME Night Repair Cream alongside prescription rosacea treatments?
We do not recommend combining KALME Night Repair Cream with prescription medication or antibiotic creams without first speaking to your doctor. If your GP or dermatologist confirms it is suitable, KALME Night Repair Cream can complement medical treatment by helping to soothe and hydrate skin between applications.
7. Does KALME Night Repair Cream help with anti-ageing?
KALME Night Repair Cream is not marketed as an anti-ageing product, but its deeply hydrating Pro-Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), soothing Allantoin and antioxidants such as Vitamin E and Vitamin C help support skin health. Because dryness is one of the main causes of visible skin ageing, the cream's deep overnight hydration can also help skin look smoother and more comfortable over time.
8. What if my skin gets worse during the first few weeks of using KALME?
Some customers experience mild fluctuations in their skin during the first one to two weeks of using KALME, especially after stopping medicated or antibacterial products. This usually settles within 3-4 weeks of consistent use. If your skin feels uncomfortable, burns or stings, stop using the product and contact us for advice.
9. Is KALME Night Repair Cream safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
KALME Night Repair Cream is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and formulated with carefully selected ingredients suitable for sensitive skin. As with any skincare product, we recommend speaking to your GP or midwife before introducing new products to your routine during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
10. Is KALME Night Repair Cream vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. KALME Night Repair Cream is vegan, dermatologically tested and certified Animal Test-Free by PETA (meaning cruelty-free and never tested on animals). It uses synthetic beeswax in place of animal-derived beeswax, contains no other animal ingredients, and is made in Britain. The full ingredients list is available above.
