1. What is PSOregon Intensive Serum for?
PSOregon Intensive Serum is a concentrated targeted serum for small areas of dry, flaky and psoriasis-prone skin that benefit from extra daily care. It helps soften dry, rough patches, improves the appearance of visible redness and leaves targeted areas feeling moisturised and comfortable. It is designed for targeted application rather than all-over moisturising.
2. What is the difference between the Intensive Serum and the Maintenance Cream?
The two products have complementary roles within your skincare routine. The Intensive Serum provides concentrated care for smaller areas requiring extra attention, with a higher level of Oregon Grape Root than the Maintenance Cream. The Maintenance Cream is your lightweight everyday moisturiser for larger areas of dry, flaky and psoriasis-prone skin, suitable for daily use on both the face and body. Many customers apply the serum to targeted areas and the cream more widely across the surrounding skin. Together they form the PSOregon Skin Care Pack.
3. Is it a serum or a cream, and is it greasy?
It has a richer, more concentrated texture than a typical watery serum, but it is still lightweight and non-greasy and soaks in quickly without leaving a sticky or shiny residue. A little goes a long way, so you only need a small amount on each patch.
4. Can I use it on my face?
Yes, with care. Because the serum is a concentrated formula, introduce it gradually when using it on the face, always patch test first and avoid the immediate eye area and damaged or broken skin. If your facial skin is particularly sensitive, PSOregon Maintenance Cream may be the better choice for everyday moisturising, with the Intensive Serum reserved for targeted areas. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
5. Will it help with psoriasis?
PSOregon Intensive Serum is a cosmetic skincare product rather than a medicine, so it is not intended to treat or cure psoriasis. It is designed to help soften dry, rough patches, improve the appearance of visible redness and leave targeted areas feeling moisturised and comfortable as part of your everyday skincare routine. If your skin is severe, painful, broken or not improving, we recommend seeking advice from your GP or dermatologist.
6. How do I use it, and how often?
Apply twice daily, morning and evening, smoothing a small amount over the areas requiring targeted care and allowing it to absorb fully. Continue regular use as part of your daily skincare routine. Because the formula is concentrated, only a small amount is needed with each application.
7. Is it suitable for eczema or other dry, scaly skin?
Some people choose it for small areas of dry, flaky or sensitive skin. It has been developed for sensitive, easily irritated skin and is specifically formulated for dry, flaky and psoriasis-prone skin. If your main concern is dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin, the Hydrosil range may be a better choice. If you are unsure which range is most suitable, we recommend speaking with your GP, pharmacist or dermatologist.
8. PSOregon or Hydrosil: which one do I need?
The two ranges are designed for different skincare needs. PSOregon is formulated for dry, flaky and psoriasis-prone skin, while Hydrosil is designed for dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin. If you are unsure which range is right for you, we recommend speaking with your GP, pharmacist or dermatologist.
9. Does it contain steroids, coal tar or added perfume?
No. PSOregon Intensive Serum is free from steroids, coal tar, mineral oils, SLS, methylisothiazolinone (MI), parabens and added fragrance. It is 96% naturally derived and has only a mild, naturally derived scent.
10. Is it vegan and cruelty-free, and where is it made?
Yes. PSOregon Intensive Serum is PETA Approved Vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologically tested and proudly made in Britain.
11. Does it come in a larger size, and how long does it last?
The serum is supplied in a 50ml tube. Because the formula is concentrated and only a small amount is needed for each application, one tube lasts well when used on targeted areas. For larger areas, we recommend combining it with PSOregon Maintenance Cream as part of your daily skincare routine. You can also subscribe so you never run out.
12. Can children use it?
The serum is formulated with carefully selected, naturally derived ingredients, but because it is a concentrated product, we recommend seeking advice from your GP, pharmacist or dermatologist before using it on a child. Always patch test before first use. It is not intended for babies or infants.
13. Why is the Intensive Serum more concentrated than the Maintenance Cream?
PSOregon Intensive Serum is designed for smaller areas requiring targeted daily care, so it contains a higher level of Oregon Grape Root than the Maintenance Cream. Its concentrated formula is intended for precise application, while the Maintenance Cream is designed to provide lightweight daily moisturising care over larger areas of skin. Together they create a complete skincare routine, with each product performing a complementary role.
